Financial Post: MOBILE KLINIK REPAIR CHAIN TO EXPAND TO ALBERTA
Mobile Klinik, a while-you-wait smartphone repair chain, will expand into Alberta with the purchase of nine mobilFIX and Dr. Mobile stores in the province. “This acquisition both accelerates our profitable growth and will anchor our growth strategy in Western Canada,” said Rob Bruce, chief executive of Mobile Klinik. Bruce brought the concept of while-you-wait smartphone repair to Canada in 2015, with three other wireless and retail industry leaders: Ken Campbell, former CEO of Wind Mobile, and entrepreneurs Alain Adam and Naaman Zorub. Sunil Goel, who is former CEO of mobilFIX and Dr. Mobile will take on a new role at Mobile Klinik, which operates 20 locations in shopping malls. Goel said that joining forces with Mobile Klinik gives his brands access to experienced leadership and capital.
